On 2005, I started working with Yahoo Store and never looked back. What began as curiosity became deep specialisation - and eventually a business built entirely around helping Turbify store owners do more with their platform. Today YourStoreAddons is my full-time focus, and Turbify development is my core strength.
I didn't just use Yahoo Store - I pushed it well beyond what it was designed to do. When the platform had limitations, I built around them. When clients needed features that didn't exist, I created them. This is the story of how that started.
Picked up my first Yahoo Store project and quickly realised this platform had enormous potential - but also real limitations. Within six months I had a thorough understanding of how the system worked at a deep level.
Yahoo Store's built-in options weren't enough for what clients needed. I started combining my JavaScript and PHP knowledge with the platform's RTML system to create features the store editor simply couldn't produce - shipping date estimators, recently viewed items, product comparison tools, shipping countdown timers. Each one solved a real business problem.
Registered YourStoreAddons.com - the name said exactly what it offered: add-ons built specifically for Yahoo Store. The domain reflected the specialisation that had developed organically over four years of deep platform work.
A client needed real-time order data pushed from their Yahoo Store into a custom external system. Nobody had done this for them before. I explored Yahoo's API, worked through the integration, and delivered it successfully. That project opened a new chapter - platform integrations, external systems, and API-level development within the Yahoo Store ecosystem.
When Yahoo Small Business became Turbify, I was already ahead of the change - updating client stores, migrating deprecated URLs, fixing compatibility issues others didn't know existed. The rebrand changed the name. It didn't change the expertise built over nearly two decades.
I get asked this often: why stay with one platform when the web development world keeps moving? My answer is straightforward.
I haven't stood still. Over the years I've expanded into Laravel, CodeIgniter, Shopify, WooCommerce, and MERN stack development. I keep up with modern frameworks because staying current makes me a better developer on every platform.
But Turbify is my core strength - and I protect that. There are thousands of stores still running on this platform. Their owners are often non-technical, loyal to what works, and in real need of a developer who genuinely knows the system. Most developers have moved on. That gap is exactly where I add the most value.
Beyond expertise - it's the long-term client trust that keeps me committed. When a store owner has worked with you for 5, 8, 10 years and trusts you completely with their live business, that relationship is worth more than chasing the next trending platform.
Turbify is my core specialisation - everything else I've learned makes me a more capable Turbify developer.
20 years of deep expertise in RTML development, store editor, catalog manager, advanced edit, custom variables, and platform-native feature building. The foundational skill that everything else supports.
β Core SpecialisationStarted using JavaScript to extend Yahoo Store's limitations in 2005. Every custom feature - rotating banners, product comparison, floating cart, image swapping, quantity controls - is built with clean, lightweight JS that doesn't slow the store down.
β Core SpecialisationPHP has been central to extending Turbify beyond its built-in capabilities - from form handling and API integrations to the Yahoo Store order API work. Also experienced in Laravel and CodeIgniter for larger application development.
First Yahoo Store API integration in 2012. Since then: Google Analytics, Google Merchant Center, payment gateways, live chat platforms, email marketing systems, and custom external system integrations within the Turbify environment.
Capable Shopify and WooCommerce developer for clients who need work on those platforms - or who are migrating from Turbify. Understanding multiple platforms makes migration advice honest and technically accurate.
MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js for modern web application development. Used for custom portals, dashboards, and integrations that sit alongside or connect to e-commerce store environments.
Consistent, direct, and transparent - the qualities my long-term clients mention most.
Projects start by email. Once work begins, Skype or Teams for quick questions. When writing doesn't do the job - a short call. No ambiguity, no guessing what the other person means.
Based in Ahmedabad, India - working across US, UK, and Australian timezones. Most messages receive a reply within 12 hours. Urgent issues are flagged and prioritised.
Timely project completion is consistently cited by clients as one of the reasons they return. Deadlines are taken seriously - not as suggestions.
Clear quotes before any work starts. No hidden costs, no scope creep charges for minor changes, no invoices that don't match the original agreement.
Clients get honest advice on what to build and how - not just execution of whatever they asked for. If a simpler solution exists, I'll say so. If a request is likely to cause a problem, I'll flag it first.
No account managers. No junior developers. Every project, every line of code, every question - handled personally. The same expertise you're hiring is the expertise doing the work.
